Business Projects

Squares19CHO is in the process of expanding the range of business projects that they have available to the people in their local community. Projects in the pipeline include…..

* The Destiny Center, Center is CHO’s main headquarters located in central Poipet, where the senior office staff are based and is a hub for a range of businesses that all contribute to funding CHO’s projects in the community.
As you walk through the front door you’ll be greeted by Destiny Café – a restaurant open Monday-Saturday which serves a wide range of Khmer and western food and drinks and is run by our friendly, dedicated staff. In the back of the café is the Destiny Shop, which sells clothing and accessories made by CHO’s own embroidery business. Stop by and grab a bag or a CHO t-shirt!
On the first floor is an office area where CHO’s administrative, financial and senior staff are based. Here you can take out a Micro-Loan – a CHO programme which enables individuals living in difficult financial circumstances to use the skills gained from CHO’s vocational training projects to kick-start their own business with a low-interest loan.
Moving on to the second floor, you’ll find a large conference room and one smaller meeting room where the CHO staff hold their morning devotion. Both are equipped with projectors and are available for hire Monday-Saturday. Also on this floor is a photo studio where CHO intends to open a new business providing high quality photography for weddings, birthdays and other events. This is currently just an idea so please pray that it comes into fruition!
On the third floor of The Destiny Center are 8 rooms of accommodation (2 single and 6 twin) where teams of volunteers or other guests can stay. In future we hope to make these rooms available to rent to the general public.
Finally, on the fourth floor is the largest conference room in The Destiny Center, also available to hire and equipped with a projector. The CHO staff hold occasional larger events in here.
All profits taken from businesses based in The Destiny Center are directly used to fund CHO’s other projects, which offer education, training, financial support and resources to the poorest and most vulnerable individuals and communities in the area around Poipet.

* Vocational Training Courses, such as computer skills, marketing, business planning, finance and English & Chinese language lessons.

* Individual and corporate Sewing & Motorbike Repair Projects
